ANALYZED: Variation in performance ability, in accordance with the ASTM and AATCC guidelines, with the application of wrinkle resistant finishes. The application of wrinkle resistant finishes alters the molecular structure of bonds within the fabric, ultimately creating a variation in durability and abrasion resistance.

METHOD: Various ASTM and AATCC test methods were used to test fabric with wrinkle resistant finish and fabric without wrinkle resistant finish to indicate these differences.

RESULTS: It was concluded that wrinkle resistant finishes generate poorer durability and abrasion resistance in fabrics. Colorfastness and dimensional change was not affected.
